❥ Back by popular demand. This blog will primarily feature art by myself and others from different fandoms. I’m going to make it my goal to produce at least one new piece per week in the new year, but we’ll see how that goes. I also plan on branching out to different fandoms!
❥ As of right now, my primary fandom interests that I may create art for include (but are not limited to):

the last kingdom, sigtryggr, uhtred son of uhtred, i fuckin love sigtryggr so so much I miss him, elfinismsarts asked: 1, 6, and 8 for Saathel from Topsy's ask game!
Thank you, these were a blast! Question 6 especially hehe. Ask game here
1. Which areas of Skyrim do they find most beautiful and most dangerous?
Falkreath frightens her. In fact all of Skyrim’s most isolated forested areas do. It’s beautiful, yes, but despite her comfort in the woods, she can’t shake the feeling that the greenery is not her friend in those places. She’s barely survived her encounters with Spriggans, which usually are docile when living by her people in the Valenwood. Next time she won’t attempt to greet one to ask for directions, that’s for certain!
6. What is their opinion on Skyrim’s “bandit problem”?
“I’ll hunt anyone down. Man, beast, or Elf. If I’ve places to go, and they stand in my way, they’ve become a target—”
When confronted by the fact that that’s not the question, Saathel huffs. “They’re just people. I admire their lifestyle, yeah. Sometimes they’re clever, sackin’ in ways that would make me invoke the Right of Theft. They’ve earned it. I just can’t be assed to care about Skyrim’s stone-cold homes and the riches they’ve amassed in ‘em.”
With a wink and a sharp-toothed grin, she adds: “Must be somethin’ the big guys in charge did wrong to get 'em to such dire straits, eh?”8. What is their favorite kind of food that can only be found in Skyrim?
Horker loaf, hands down. Easy to make when at a well-equipped camp, and delicious. She shares it with Faendal often.
captainbrandoril asked: For the violence ask game: 10, 13, 25. :D
Ayooooo more of these!!! Thanks again Bun!!
10: worst part of fanon
I think @friend-of-giants had said something similar but the common notion that guild masters and mentors (particularly elderly men like Kodlak and Arngeir) are there to be relationship therapists and matchmakers for the LDB and that’s more or less the only value they have to the story. I mean this in the nicest way possible when I ask, why would they care? I can definitely see Kodlak intervening if some friction is causing issues among the Companions, but to sit around and play relationship therapist and drop hints on how to woo Vilkas/Farkas? Nah son. He has a guild to advise. He’s not a producer for Love Island.
I understand the desire to have an kindly old man be a mentor type but he’s not gonna care about the relationships going on between a bunch of 20-somethings unless it’s directly causing harm or disrupting his life, in which case he would likely tell them to fuckin grow up lmao the likelihood of him offering life advice or helping deal with a problem is much, much higher.
13: worst blorboficiation
Hot take kinda but Paarthurnax. And what I mean by that is the grandpa dragon thing is understandable and cute in theory, but he’s a dragon. I’ve definitely seen the same thing happen to him that I mentioned above and honestly what proof do we have that he can even identify with human/mortal emotion? Or understand it on the level that may be required? I think, at most, he can help the LDB understand and deal with the problems that arise with being the LDB and help them master their Voice and their blood, but that’s kinda… it?
absolutely no disrespect to the grandpa dragon take because I can understand the appeal but it’s just not for me.
25: common fandom complaint that you’re sick of hearing
Disagreeing with headcanons/interpretations. Like bro those are YOUR headcanons. If others agree, great! If not, life goes on and it does nothing to you. Don’t whine and cry and vaguepost and shit yourself because [tesblr user] doesn’t agree that Random Farmer #63 likes to be pegged by a horker tusk every Tirdas night. Don’t post screenshots of other people’s posts onto your blog purely for the sake of causing problems because they don’t agree with (or even know about, in most cases) your interpretation of something. Just smash that mf block button and move on bud!
I think a massive amount of fandom drama across the board can be boiled down to making the inability to regulate your own emotions and respond accordingly someone else’s problem.
captainbrandoril asked: For the Skyrim OC ask: 1, 2 and 18.
tysm bun!!!!!! I’m assuming this is for Firien so I just answered for her! Hope that’s okay ☺️
1: Which areas of Skyrim do they find most beautiful and most dangerous?
Firien finds Falkreath to be the most beautiful! Namely the forests! They’re so full of life and have such a lovely atmosphere that she can’t get enough of. It’s very possible that she would be perfectly content with settling down somewhere in Falkreath.
As for danger, anywhere there are enemies (which is… a lot of places). She knows her own power with her Thu'um but she is not, by any means, invincible or untouchable, and neither are those around her. If she had to single it down to one location, she would pick Windhelm.
2: Which cities do they prefer to stay in and why? Which cities to they avoid at all costs?
Firien prefers to stay in Whiterun and, again, Falkreath! Whiterun is what she knows and where she’s most comfortable, and it’s where her friends are. She’s very adamant about home not being a place, but Whiterun is the next closest thing. As for Falkreath, she just enjoys the beauty and the quiet. The death thing doesn’t really bother her and she finds it to be quite peaceful.
She definitely avoids Windhelm. Where her canon currently stands, she’s more or less an enemy of the state hold LMAO plus there are wanted posters of her plastered all over so everyone likely knows her face by this point. She also avoids Riften, but that’s because she has some pretty bad memories associated with it and would rather avoid running into Maven Black-Briar or the Thieves’ Guild.
18: What is their stance on taking a life? Do they kill without a second thought, in the name of a god or daedra, or do they adhere to pacifism?
It really depends on the circumstances. More often than not, she has no issue with killing, especially if it’s in self defense, a preventive measure, or as an act of revenge. She would rather avoid killing innocents, especially after having done so in the past, but is not above doing it if it means she’s protecting herself or those she loves somehow. It’s not a decision she would make lightly and the guilt that follows would plague her for some time.
thana-topsy asked: For Firien, and I challenge you to let her answer for herself!
Ohhh ty Topsy!! These are awesome questions! And for her to answer directly is a great way to do it!!
Would you be able to live off the land if you were lost in the wilds of Skyrim? How skilled are you at foraging and hunting?
“I spent the majority of my life at this point doing exactly that. Though it was mostly through Valenwood and High Rock, I hardly think Skyrim would present as a challenge. I have been here long enough to know the land and foraging and hunting are both something I am proud to call skills as a result of my time since leaving Valenwood. Especially hunting.”
Who is your mentor? Who do you go to most for lessons?
“Honestly, I cannot recall ever having a true mentor. My father taught me enough to survive, Kodlak often had sage advice for me, Arngeir is… too chatty at times for me to listen, and Paarthurnax is a dragon so I do not exactly expect him to have much to say in the way of mortal affairs. I suppose, if I bend the meaning of the word ‘mentor’ a bit, Vilkas would fit that role. I have always looked at him as someone for advice and he has taught me many things about myself and the world. He is certainly wise beyond his years, and I trust him to not lead me astray. I do that well enough on my own.”
How do you feel about consorting with Daedra? Do you collect their artifacts? Are there some you would never interact with vs some you would consider calling upon?
“Others can do as they please and that is none of my business. However, I have had enough of the damned Daedra meddling in my life to last me several eras over. The gods, whether you call upon them as Divine or Daedra, are more tolerable when they keep to themselves and ignore us, but the Daedra especially. They are messy and see mortals as playthings for their own amusement. Fuck the Daedra.”
… she’s still bitter about Apocrypha.
shore,SKYRIM OC ASKS
I wanted to make a more in-depth and lore-building set of questions for people’s Skyrim-specific OCs! This can be used as an ask game, or if you just want to answer them all without waiting for people to ask, have at it!

Nyenna is one of my favourites as far as Dragonborns are concerned and mareenavee’s fic The World on Our Shoulders is amazing and really worth the read!

omg bri I forgot to answer this and then saw someone else answering it on my dash (@kookaburra1701 LMAO thanks for the reminder kb!) and was like “OH SHIT” my b. ANYWAY.
1: the character everyone gets wrong
Vilkas. VILKAS. V I L K A S. The fact that there’s even a “Vilkas being an asshole” tag on ao3 is deeply insulting. Most people assume that just because he’s unwelcoming in the beginning he’s this horrible asshole who is just foul to everyone around him. I’ve seen people write him to be controlling of both the LDB and Farkas, jealous and insecure, mean for no reason, violent, and borderline abusive. The man is GUARDED. His adoptive father figure walked out on him and Farkas and his secondary adoptive father figure, in Kodlak’s own words, deceived him with the beast blood. Like no fuckin wonder the dude has trust issues and is wary of new folks showing up. He can’t exactly display his trust issues to his family so he takes it out on the newbies. He’s an entire gold mine of possibilities for character development and everyone sleeps on that for the sake of making him a dick for no reason. It just shows a wild misunderstanding for his character tbh.
7: what character did you begin to hate not because of canon but because how how the fandom acts about them?
I already answered this one here but fuck it we ball. Not so much hate as much as it’s a “strong aversion to” but Cicero. I can’t stand the way he’s romanticized and turned into a “I can fix him” scapegoat when really the dude is just a sad tale. Violent insanity isn’t quirky or cute. It’s sad and unsettling.
12: the unpopular character that you actually like and why more people should like them
Elisif. I’ll admit I’ve seen a few fantastic portrayals of her (@thequeenofthewinter and @archangelsunited come to mind) but for the most part the fandom falls too far in line with the way the men in canon treat her, which is as a ditzy, inexperienced, childish, brainless puppet. I’ve seen so so so many fics use her as a prop for their (female) LDB in an attempt to make the (female) LDB seem smarter, stronger, more capable, more likeable, and overall just better than Elisif and every time it falls horribly horribly flat and just appears as what it is: a cheap shot at avoiding genuine characterization and character development.
Elisif has SO. MUCH. POTENTIAL. to be either an extremely powerful ally or an insanely formidable enemy and everyone just… ignores that?? I love Elisif and I seriously can’t wait to bring her into my fic (working on that chapter rn,,,). I definitely think she rings a bit of Sansa Stark, particularly these two quotes:
“No need to seize the last word, Lord Baelish. I’ll just assume it was something clever.”
“I’m a slow learner, it’s true, but I learn.”
idk I just think everyone is missing out honestly.
24: topic that brings up the most rancid discourse
Oh god there are so many things but I guess I’d have to be basic and say Stormcloaks vs Empire because people just do not have the critical thinking skills to distinguish fiction from reality. Thinking that Fantasy Norway deserves religious freedom does not mean someone is a fucking Trump supporter irl. It doesn’t make them racist. It doesn’t mean anything about their beliefs away from the internet or who they are as a person. It just means they played the game and very likely took it at face value. And even if they went beyond face value and still came out thinking “yeah the Empire and the Thalmor suck ass at least the Stormcloaks know what they’re about”??? Who cares lol
I joined the Stormcloaks my first playthrough because I was like “wow! fantasy vikings vs fantasy romans! Vikings are WAY better than Romans!” It can really be that simple.
Second to that would be OCxNPC shipping. Just utilize the fucking block button and move on for fucks sake.
